Conveniently situated between Ringwood & Fordingbridge, Little Mere is an exquisite fine dining Restaurant set in the beautiful New Forest location of North Gorley.
So called for its picturesque view of the pond opposite, Little Mere, also known as “The Gorley Tea Rooms” is a delightful thatched cottage thought to be about 300 years old. It has been completely refurbished to a very high standard including the addition of a new toilet block with disabled facilities, a refitted modern kitchen and elegantly decorated Restaurant. However, in spite of this it still retains its old world charm with original wood beams and a log burning stove, creating an intimate ambiance.
Managed by Nikki Robson this venture was set up with the aim to offer customers the opportunity to enjoy sensational food and excellent service, in fact a truly special experience.
The a la carte menu changes monthly to incorporate seasonal produce and new dishes. Previous menus have featured Scallop &
Prawn Thermidor, Crispy Chilli Fried Beef, Pot Roasted Quail, Fillet Steak with Fresh Lobster. Please feel free to e-mail us for

The Sunday Lunch menu (2 courses = £22.50, 3 courses = £24.50) changes weekly but always includes a choice of at least two
roasts, a fish dish and vegetarian option.
At present the Restaurant opens on a Thursday, Friday & Saturday evening from 7pm and Sunday lunchtime from noon.
It should be noted that Little Mere is only a 35 cover Restaurant, thus gets booked up very quickly in advance.
There is ample parking at the rear of the Restaurant, and guests may enter through the conservatory
Please note the dress code for Little Mere Restaurant is smart/casual. In 2006 we converted the conservatory into a lounge area - perfect to enjoy an aperitif or after dinner coffee
